Vacuum Take-Off Point?

Post by Jonesey »

Can anyone tell me where the second vacuum take off point is?
I've found the front one which is attached to Scott-Oiler but can't locate the rear point, to attach carb balancer.
HELP!!!

It has a pipe attached to it going to the petrol tank if I remeber rightly. It's just under the carbs on the left heand side as you sit on the bike./

Pete is right. I fitted a 'T' piece on the petrol tap vac line (second one as this is where my ScottOiler has its connection too) and had a brass 'nipple' in the front cylinder with a permanent take-off line leading to the left side of the bike. These are left in place with blank plugs in place (golf tees work well and can be colour coded to your bike  ) and then all is at hand just by fishing around the side of the frame and pulling out these vacuum line tails ready to connect to the vac gauges. I use the steel-balls-in-the-plastic-tube type as cheap and very efficient.
