Any suggestions of a different manufacturer for a crash helmet for my big head

Here's hoping

I must admit Paul, I liked the look of the Roof helmets when they came out first, I remember looking at them at the NEC. Interesting about them being quieter than the Shoei, another good point to consider IMHO.Stratman wrote:Can't help on the head size, but I have used a Roof for several years and they are so much quieter and better than the Shoei I used to have. Quite light and cheap too around £200.
Talking about two different shape shells Pete, you've reminded me that someone said a long time ago that FM used two different sized shells, which definitely helped for the person with the larger headPete.L wrote:Arai
make two different shape shells. One is, how can we put this politely, for the more fuller, rounder head and the other is more elliptical (for the pin heads out there)
I've also had very good service out of Nolan and at present I'm liking the HJC brand.
My main advise for anyone is get an approved lid and buy for the best fit and not the name. An ill fitting £500 Shoei is more dangerous than a properly fitted budget lid in my book.

I made the mistake of listening to the salesman when I purchased the Shoei I have at the moment. He had been struggling to find one that fitted me and of course told me "it's bound to be tight to start with, but it will bed in with timeJaglifter wrote:I've just bought a Shoe Raid II to replace the one I damaged.
Its a little bit tighter, but I think thats because the lining is new and hasn't been compressed by my head yet!
