i have a 2004 with H.I.S.S. how hard is it to prog. new key have been told i have to take it to bike shop :?:

Can't help, but main dealer is probably the option - certainly is with cars I've had.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

I’ve never had a bike with the HISS immobiliser fitted

But I’ve been told you can bypass quite easily if you have snapped the key By taping the broken key under or behind the HISS pickup ring around lock and then get a normal key cut. Apparently when you turn the ignition off the HISS system works any way and when you turn it to on the HISS picks up the broken keys chip as if the HISS key had been used

Don’t know how true it is but worth a try if you need to save the £££ that a new key costs

If you do try it and it works post back for others will yer

i will try that if it works it will save a few bucks ($88.00)
