BAFFLES
Hi thanks top tip, ive made him an offer will they fit? suppose its worth a try for 7.50
Re: BAFFLES
If your microns have "not for road use" or do not have a BSI stamp on them then the baffles wont do you any good, you'll need road legal cans for the mot.ian brearley wrote:should i buy a set of standard exhausts and hangers from ebay etc its mot time in march

Re: BAFFLES
I thought they'd changed it slightly and down to MOT testers discretion if not marked as they don't have to be now with all the removable baffles etc - but yeah it should be a fail if marked for race use etccupasoop wrote:If your microns have "not for road use" or do not have a BSI stamp on them then the baffles wont do you any good, you'll need road legal cans for the mot.ian brearley wrote:should i buy a set of standard exhausts and hangers from ebay etc its mot time in march

I've never had baffles in nor had E stamp on my cans for mot's and never failed and no bribery required

JUST LOOKED AT THE CANS THEY ARE STAMPED BS EN 10088 ON EACH END THEN ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TAIL PIECE THEY ARE STAMPED NOT FOR ROAD USE????,THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES ITS VERY HELPFUL CHEERS IAN
Ian,
It looks like your BS number (BS EN 10088) is the standard for the quality of the stainless steel used in the can construction, well the ends anyway if that's where the stamp is

Chris.
PS. My Scorpion cans don't have any BS standard or any other marks on them, but my bike goes through the mot with them fitted
I think it is as Stu says, down to the discretion of the tester. After saying that the next time I take my bike for it's test I probably find they've changed the rules

Not if that bit is not visible - I speak from 1st hand knowledge.cupasoop wrote:If your microns have "not for road use" or do not have a BSI stamp on them then the baffles wont do you any good, you'll need road legal cans for the mot.
Re: BAFFLES
microns are stamped "not for road use" just where the removable baffle screw is, your cans are road legal and mot friedly untill you remove the baffles mateyian brearley wrote:JUST LOOKED AT THE CANS THEY ARE STAMPED BS EN 10088 ON EACH END THEN ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE TAIL PIECE THEY ARE STAMPED NOT FOR ROAD USE????,THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES ITS VERY HELPFUL CHEERS IAN
