Alternative shock
Does anyone know if any other shock absorber off any other bike fits the VTR?

Re: Alternative shock
Is it that time of year again?
Only joking
But this question comes around just about every year
And the answer is not really
He shocks 400 and odd mill long and nearly every shock is shorter
The spring wire dia is 12mm thick most other shocks seem to use 8 or 10 mm dia wire and putting a heavier spring on a shock that’s meant for a softer sprung spring just means its under damped
I tried a R1 damper with an extended top mount and heavier spring. It just didn’t work
Had to bite the bullet and buy a decent shock
Although a new spring to your weight on a decent original shock is an good alternative do a search for more info
