Thanks everyone, I have to say that although I am no test rider for a big factory I have ridden a few bikes. The test ride on the HRC coloured 09 Blade that I had previously was a 30 min pandemonium power wheely session with me hanging on and marvelling at how easy it was to chuck about but now I really understand what a cracking bike this Blade is ........................the new Red Baron is just balance perfection. I have stuck some miles on him and kept the throttle openings to a min but still had an awesome day! If you can pick out a sweet wrapper and a peice of gravel on the road mid bend you can put the bikes front wheel between them, its accurate, agile and above all manageable. The shop told me to run it up to the red line but only gradually to aid the running in period, I did this in second only to find above 8K I could stick the front wheel up/down on command. I know its not exactly impossible on most litre bikes but I am not Jimmy Fireblade I am Jimmy Allen. This thing just seems to flatter the rider beyond anything I have yet to ride (that includes Ducatis, Suzukis, Aprillia) I personally dont like the looks of the R1 so that didnt even feature in the equation. I promise I will not rant about this bike again  . After all this is a Firestorm site and not a Bladers site but thought some may find it interesting.

Really nice bike mate !

A work colleague bought an 06 blade brand new and loves it to bits. He says that it does everything he could ever want it to do. The new one ie yours, must be absolutely stunning to ride.

You lucky, lucky person 8)

Lucky bugger, enjoy matey! That looks like a beautiful machine. Try and use it a bit more than the bloke around the corner from me who has only put 310 miles on his in the last 8 months.......... 8O

That horrid

Only saying that because i am jealous. Not riden the 09 blade but my cousin had a 97 one and that was just awesome and gave so much confidence to the rider would imagine this model is evn better. Look after her and be careful lot of bone idol people about just wanting to test your brakes.
