Cheers Chris (LSM) :D

I think I'd better invest in one of those rain suits, after getting completely saturated yesterday :!:

Just read on another forum, a chap reckons that the Lidl tank bag is not up to much, and that the Aldi one is so much better :?

Who's bought what :?: , Seven of nine Firestorm above seems well pleased with his Lidl one,..im sure Cupasoop got his from Aldi a while back :? Any body else bought a tank bag from either of these stores :?:

Ive never owned one, so if i go in and pick up one,ive nothing to really compare it with.

Cheers

Interesting as both are German stores and buy from the same source!! You often find one thing at Lidls first, followed by Aldi a few months later (and vice versa of course).
I've NEVER found Lidls quality wanting so.................. :D

BikerPiker i've never seen the Aldi one so don't know what its like but with the lidls one, has been fantastic comes with lots of straps to fix it to the bike also can be easily carried. Has a clear top to put maps in, also has a rain cover to go over but isn't transparent so can't see maps when it rains. If the rain cover isn't on the rain will get inside had maps wet before but just dry them off was me being lazy not pulling over to fit the cover.

As for the magnets being weak, i've never noticed a problem actually i've stuffed the tank bag with lots of things huge heavy chain, bottles of blonk, food etc and it still stays on even at speed.

Filling up at petrol stations is a pain not too bad, as the bag can be lifted up to one side just as long as some of the magnets are connected is ok also hand there for support, but then I do over load it with heavy items inside.
Noticed just this week that some of the top stitching has started to go on the seam to the right under the top transpartent pocket which I use for maps, but this is due to me over loading the bag and stuffing god knows what crap in had it bulging alot of times.
So for me i'll give it a 8/10 would be better with stronger stitching but espect thats my fault, also would perfer the rain cover to be transparrtent but hey. Its never let me down thou. Highly recommended.

well i have had my tankbag from lidls for nearly 2 years, and used it for 2 trips to france and a little run to ireland, and cannot fault it, magnets are very strong, 140mph on french motorways, didnt budge an inch, and as for petrol takes seconds to lift off and on again, so i would say go to lidls and grab a bargain
