What's the newest bike on this forum to have had cct failiure?

Re: Newest
I fitted new replacements and the front one went eighteen months later, if that helps.
In a 97 bike, though.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I changed one which only lasted about 8000 miles before it needed changing again.
I've only heard stories of ones lasting less. You know a mate of mine had a friend sort of thing. Nothing first hand.

14520-MBB-013 does anyone know what they actually did to the cct's?

I think its a trivial pursuit. Buy manual ones and get peace of mind. Those of us who have them also think the bikes go better, and given that Sirch (Chris) has done a lot of research and found that one actually backs off a bit, this may not just be an imaginary benefit.
I have checked mine after a year and they needed no adjustment and I don't worry about them giving out now. The classic "breaking technique" would be getting up to high revs in a low gear then shutting the throttle. Don't have to worry about that now and with open cans it sounds luvvvvvverly (especially down the Llanberis Pass)

Two bikes, still only four cylinders!
