Advice for a 16 year old

Post by alan g »

A little bit of helpful advice please lads.
My son is soon to be 16 and I would like to get him a moped, but which one?
It will probably be a new one as all the used ones I have seen have been pretty poor.
So far it is the Aprilia RS50 which has his attention, but I can see a scooter would be more useful. The thought of changing up six gears just to get to 30mph; but there again if I was 16 again, I doubt you could get me to be interested in a scooter!
What are the resale values like for 50cc bikes V scooters?
I took him out for the first time on the back of the Storm today and he loved it.

Some Halfords spanners, classic insurance and he's away :biggrin

When has a 16yr old ever listened to advice? Tell the lazy sod to get a paper round and pay for his own bloody bike

I dont know, kids today :whatever

Now when I was 16, I didn’t fancy a FS1E or a paper round and would not have been seen dead on a MZ.
Takes all sorts…
