i have a firestorm with blue flame exhausts on it missfires at 7000 revs any ideas could it need dyno jettin cheers john.

Sounds like it could be 6 to 7k is were the engine is hitting its power band
Do a plug chop when it starts missing and have a look at the colour of it it will tell you if its running lean or rich at them particular revs

It could be a number of things causing the misfire, including plugs as Warby mentions, split in the petrol tap diaphragm, split in one of the carb diaphragms, valve timing being 180 degrees or even the air filter needs changing. Balancing the carbs may even help.
Putting it on a rolling road my help in detecting the problem.

Your mate must be having a tune done.

ive just put new plugs in origanl exhausts back on and it still does it could be the carbs
