You need to upload them from somewhere like Flickr, copy the url and paste into the text box on here in create / reply to a post, make sure the end of the url only ends jpg, I know flickr adds some other charachters after it, ignore them.
Once copied into the text box on here, highlight the URL and click the URL box which should be ^^^ up there.
