Ditto what everyone else has said..............

I'll ask around try to see if and what you can claim for and or places which might be able to help. there is a chap down the road from me has the same as you I think but also that brittle bone thing. I know you can get a blue badge, free wheel chair, stairlift, disabled parking bay, home help, but as to any fast tracking or where or how to apply for that and other things I just don't know, if you have a partner they can also claim for helpers allowance.

Its wombles I know, but stay strong, not much I can say really, just wish there was some kind of cure or mediciation to help, even trial drugs.

Sat staring at the keyboard not quite knowing what to write Marty.

Time to get a bit selfish and do what you want to do whilst you still can. Make each day count and take each as it comes. Don't dwell on the bad, no time for it, just cast it aside and look for the good.

I can understand you wanting the bike out of the way under the circumstances, so good luck in getting that done.

I take it you'll have to see a specialist next :?:

Be strong Marty, I'm thinking about you bud :!:

Thank you all so very much for the kind words .Empathy and messages of support.
Those of you that know a little bit about me and the run of extraordinary bad luck i've had over the past five years or so are probably as bemused as i am. sh1t happens!,
I know that from personal experience, it's the Frustration at not being able to do even the simplest of tasks like put one foot in front of the other.or to be able to stand up without having your legs buckle and collapse underneath you.Going into the kitchen from my front room to make a cuppa is like climbing Everest I am so exhausted after that. by the time i've got the strength to get the cup up to my face the fkin tea is cold..The things we take for granted in everyday life and do without a seconds thought are the most difficult for me to accomplish.
anyway enough of that crap.
I sat in the sun again yesterday listening to the bikes ripping up the road, i heard a lot of twins going along and what a pleasant noise they make, compared to a Four screaming it's tits off the twins sound like Mozart in comparison, and far less intrusive on the ears. you know that feeling you get when emotion just gets the better of you ,well at the peak of the moment when you are about to lose control and spray Snot and Emotion all over the shop, just at that very moment before you let go..that's how i felt all day yesterday. I just so desperately wanted to go for a ride. what will i find to replace riding, what could give me back the joy of being able to kit up swing a leg over ,and just go anywhere?.no more friendly nods and salutes from other bikers I dont even know, no more heart in mouth moments, no more tinkering washing and polishing,
no more skinned knuckles or getting soaked in an unexpected downpour. and no more riding down to the Lakes for a weekend with you lot. I am going to miss all thins bike so very very much

Have they given a diagnosis to your ailment? If its MS then I know a bit about it. My dad has suffered with the illness for nigh on 20 years. On a lighter note I dont agree with your twin verses four sound test. My new red baron whispers through villages and past police men then on demand he starts to growl from deep within then whine like a supercharger tjust before all the traffic including sportsbikes become distant specks in your mirrors and all hell breaks loose  Dont get me wrong I love both sounds, in fact I love the sound of any engine TVR's make a cracking noise :biggrin
Again lets hope whatever has a grip of you shrinks back into the shadows and allows you to live a good life.

Beamish m8..there are four different kinds of MS as you are probably aware, and because of my age and the spontaneous nature of my symptoms, Doc reckons if it is MS ,I've got PPMS. primary progressive multiple sclerosis. which gets as the name suggests progressively worse with no remission. our local postmistress has MS, and she can walk unaided, carry loads, and you would never guess she has any kind of ailment. she tells me her variant of the Disease, is one of the types that goes into remission ,sometimes for years. but it can make a sudden comeback, and it is always worse than the last attack. I have gone from being a little uncomfortable whist walking at the beginning of the year ,to being more or less housebound three months later, and unable to stand upright or walk properly. and those are just the glaringly obvious symptoms. and dont forgret this is Marty we are talking about here and it would not surprise me if it turns out that i have a completely new strain with complications never seen or experienced :whatever
It is not my intention to foster sympathy here, I have a lot on my mind, and my wife has enough to deal with without me whinging about my condition, and being pretty isolated up here there are few people who know me well enough for me to feel comfortable with to pour out emotionally to, so i'm kinda using the forum as one would a confidant and friend. but with a modicum of dignity and restraint .[at least i hope so]. I am not about to give up on life and roll over and die. circumstances notwithstanding of course. I am a fkin Warrior, and the reaper will have to drag me off kicking and biting spitting and gouging.
I'm ready for the boney b8stard.
so on a lighter note. i managed to get a little footage with sound ,of the Mille onto the cameraphone. but i cant stop my hand shaking long enough to get the USB cable in the damn socket. ill post a link after i get the Mrs to upload it for me. it's not that i have anything against IL4s the point i was trying to make was that they were just a lot more intrusive to the general ambiance, where as the twins .even the obviously baffleless ones seemed to blend in and seemingly belong . listen to the intro to the Orbs . Star part6&789 ,from the adventures beyond ultraworld album where you can here the motorcycle along with the smack of leather on willow .etc.
then imagine it with a screaming Ninja in its stead, and you will know what i mean.
now i have to go and smoke some medicine...cough cough....

Niggah Puleeeeeeeeeese... my surname Ulke. translated from the higher German means something like king of jokers. so apparently i am descended from a line of court jesters and clowns, Humour has always been a Forte of mine, I tend to lean towards the bleeding Quick rather than Nail biting type comedy.
and i Will rip the pish oot o anything.no subject is taboo even my current condition has been a source of hilarity for me and the Mrs. I have had Friends beg for mercy once i get on a roll .so hopefully my twisted mind will help deal with the phsycological side ...
