VTRDenmark's Yellow ride
Well .. Here's my "Camel" Storm . Bought her on ebay.uk from a very nice guy. The decals were already on + a lot more stickers than there is now .. Did various paint jobs, rear set from MFW Racing, DJ kit stage 1, new forksprings (Hyperpro), new taillight and signals, and yes, a little polishing here and there A lot more to come (I hope)
Regards from Denmark

No, it's standard forks that have been polished No big deal actually - Took me 3 hours . The paint on the forks looked like s..t, so it was either new paint or polish ..

I do like those forks! Why didn't I think of that - too late now I guess. Altough I've had enough of my ZZR1100 (too heavy) and I'm looking out for something a bit lighter. Could be a storm again
She's my idea of beauty and thats what I ride.

Re: VTRDenmark's Yellow ride
Hi guys
I thought everyone had a nice warm garage to hide in when wife and kids got to noisy And Marra, I know I'm hysterical about cleaning in my little hideout, but I like tidyness(?) when I work
About the polishing (you have to excuse me for my english, hope you understand the meaning ) I bought an old machine formerly used to sharpen things(don't know what it's called in english) !! and put it on a large foot or pedestal, so the working height was suitable (I'm an old man, I know) I used 2 different polish (wheels) with a diameter of ca. 25 cm and polish wax(brown wax first and then white wax for the mirror effect), first a brown coloured roll (rough) and then a green one (mirror effect) Off course I removed the old paint first, using a dremel and sand paper. And yes, I had the forks off . The polish machine works with ca 4000 rpm, and that is suitable for making the mirror effect - You can almost feel the aluminium getting warmed up and sort of "molding" into the effect .. I did all the nuts and bolts while I was at it (noisy family, u know) My only excuse must be, that it's hard to stop polishing when you see how nice it looks when it all shines up like chrome. And it is in fact very easy to polish the stainless nuts and bolts also - Try it and beleive it :wink2
ps, the effect is not hard to maintain with ordinary creamy polish stuff like autosol or similar. Afterwards I use Turtle Wax Ice (all over the bike)

Excellent job VTRD.
Surprised you didn't laquer the forks. Then you can forget them for a while.
Know what you mean about polishing. It gets addictive!
