Anyone ever tried one of these on the rear?

My Dads Guzzi runs the same tyre.

In theory, someone will correct me if im wrong, I think a 170 will fit a Storm rim.

Why don't you just fit a 180 like it's designed for though?

Its a five and a half inch rim and a 170 fits no problem, i just happen to have a nearly new 170 in my garage, ive fitted smaller tyres before on other bikes and it actually speeds up tip in, i just wondered if anyone had experienced this on a storm

I can understand that, it's much better to go down size than smack a 200 section on it or something similar :?

Never understand why people do that? I know fat tyres look good (I had a 190 on the TL) but they do affect the handling when palced on a rim/bike they don't suit. It's just daft.

let us know how you get on with the 170 :)

As long as it only affects the tip in and not the tip off :wink2
It'd be a shame to have to ride a Storm like an old women untill it wears out just to save a few quid. Why don't you just E-bay it?
