Hi All,
As i am new to the VTR and loving every minute of the bike, i am thinking of a few upgrades, one of which will be an exhaust,
Any recommends for a street legal exhaust system that does not break the bank.
Exhaust
Re: Exhaust
You might be better posting this in the "Bike chat" section...
Loads of exhausts are available-it depends what you'd prefer (re: finish, sound and look) I had Carbon Can Co exhausts on the storm. They sounded "fruity" and were well put together. Cheap too-£200 for the pair at the time.
I would say don't go for carbon fibre wrapped cans. I've seen them blown apart on big twins![Shocked 8O](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
Loads of the guys and girls have different makes of exhaust on here. They'll tell you the merits and negatives of different systems.

Re: Exhaust
Just done 'em now and they sound WAAAAAYYY better...
Obviously not a touch on proper cans but a lot better, deeper and louder. I drilled 9 x 10mm holes in mine (this was the biggest bit I had).
Definitely do for the time being and cost zero - happy days!
Enjoy.
