Exhaust

Post by yorkshirepuddin »

Hi All,

As i am new to the VTR and loving every minute of the bike, i am thinking of a few upgrades, one of which will be an exhaust,

Any recommends for a street legal exhaust system that does not break the bank.

You might be better posting this in the "Bike chat" section...

Loads of exhausts are available-it depends what you'd prefer (re: finish, sound and look) I had Carbon Can Co exhausts on the storm. They sounded "fruity" and were well put together. Cheap too-£200 for the pair at the time.

I would say don't go for carbon fibre wrapped cans. I've seen them blown apart on big twins 8O

Loads of the guys and girls have different makes of exhaust on here. They'll tell you the merits and negatives of different systems.

Or for really cheap thrills you could drill your exhaust.... I'm doing this today so will let you know how it sounds... :D

Just done 'em now and they sound WAAAAAYYY better... :D

Obviously not a touch on proper cans but a lot better, deeper and louder. I drilled 9 x 10mm holes in mine (this was the biggest bit I had).

Definitely do for the time being and cost zero - happy days!

Enjoy.
