Hi all tyres????????

Post by tangostorm »

Just to see if any of you,s are running conti,s as i am.I would never have thought about conti,s but a few years ago when my speed triple was off the road i got a wee vespa gt200 cheep to go to work and back (great wee bike by the way) :D When i got it the vespa had scooter tyres called conti twist,s and i was amazed how much grip these tyres had cold, hot, wet, dry it did not matter unless you did something silly.A while later my speedy was back on the road and soon needed tyres looked on ebay and saw near enough the same tyres that were on the vespa called conti road attack i got a set for about £135.Ran them on my speedy for about 13 months and about 3000 miles until one dry day in november going to work poped a nice power wheelie as you do and hit diesel while i was up and bang next thing i know i am on the deck and the bike is going down the road butt to nose resulting in 1 total write off.Anyway i still had the tyres when i got my vtr so i put them on it and have been running them since about feb.On both bikes they have been excellent grippy boots with a quick warm up and loads of feedback better still i am lucky if they are half worn and that must be about 4k on them now.Great tyres at a realistic price. One of my mates runs nc2 tyres on a yzf750 cost him £200 fitted and he starts sliding about before i do.Please tell me how you rate these tyres if you run them and if not give them a bang you wont be dissapointed :D Cheers all.Mark.........................

I read somewhere Road Attacks had 7mm of tread rather than the normal 5mm .

Nick Sanders was getting 7000 miles out of a rear tyre on his R1 :!:
