it smoothed out the snatchy low speed throttle control a little, but hasn't cured it - eg its nowhere near as smooth as me injected blackbird nor me carbed storm for that matter.
and its maybe added 20 miles to a tankful of fuel.

and my sole instruction to the fitter/dyno fella was to sort the snatchy throttle control & that I wasn't interested in more power

as I said, its an improvement but with hindsight, not £460's worth.

What you have to remember is it's essentially a race bike, and not built for the comforts of the road... firestorms are.
yep I know that Mike but the point I'm making is that IMO I don't believe the improvement from the PC111 is worth its cost. you get used to & adapt to the snatchy throttle anyway, I had . . to some degree in the short time I had the SP before fitting the PC111. if I'd known how little difference it was going to make then I wouldn't have bothered with it tbh - it certainly ain't worth the cost to me

Just because it was advertised as a race bike doesn't mean it needs to have poor fuel delivery! As you know its fuel injected and makes no more BHP than the factory Mille or a 999 so there is no reason for snatchy throttle response. The new R1 has alledgedly the ultimate connection between throttle and back tyre but does not have that poor fueling. It was a failing, not a massive one though as it was reduced on the SP2. Shame that PC and dyno cant eradicate it.

Just remembered it was indeed a Honda problem that they struggled with over 1998-2001 as the first Blades had terrible fueling as opposed to the earlier rrw with carbs. So the problem wasnt restricted to twins as early IL4s were snatchy as hell also.
