discs ...

Post by Geordie »

Hello folks

Needing new discs for the front of the VTR, anyone know of any good deals / best place to go for them ? Honda were looking for 230 for the pair I think. Is that the goin rate ?

Any not hugely expensive wavy discs about .. ?
I do remember seeing a picture of a VTR front end with custom discs on, they had "VTR" cut through the disc all the way round, looked real trick ... anybody else seen that ?

Cheers

E-Blag have wavy ones at reasonable prices, but you have to order form Hong Kong or China.
I've been burnt before, and won't take a chance any more. :sad2
(not discs, electronics)

I seem to recall someone buying some a while ago- Ernie??? search for previous posts.

Otherwise, if you're staying with standard ones, David Silver, as ever, but why not just replace with second-hand ones?
Dirt cheap, as everyone sells the old ones on once they get wavies.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I replaced my OEM warped ones with a pair of EBCs with sintered pads. Coupled with the braided hoses and the brakes are as good as I'd want them to be.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Check this place out

Had a look at there stuff at the bike show last year and it looked really good quality. Sure someone on here is running a set of them but cannot remember who. Good value to £295 for three discs and pads. Might be worth a call. :D
