my bike ill again

i have a small problem with my bike, it seems to happen when i ride, everytime i fire it up in the morning it works ok ticks over nicely after i have ridden to work the bike has a small problem with ticking over it fluctuates ie the tick over speeds up and slows down slightly and it did have a stutter at 7000 revs like a miss fire when you rev it up, but that has now stopped since a charged the battery up i have changed the spark plugs and the 2 black boxes and i have had both rocker covers off since it has had 2 new cam chains fitted to check the valve clearances and the cam timing and all it ok, i have also had the fuel tank off and check the fuel filter and i have balanced the carbs and now i am getting a little pissed of with the dam thing please has any one had a similar problem ?

Sounds like an air leak, I'd check that first.

If not, just for peace of mind check that the carbs haven't got a bit of grit in the float needles or seating.

Also check that there's some slack in the throttle cable, and it hasn't got caught anywhere. (don't think that would fit your description that well, but worth a check while you're there).

When you say it ticks over ok first thing, is that with the choke on or off?

It's pretty obvious that you're a competent mechanic undertaking the jobs you mentioned, so not wishing to insult your experience, the only thing I've experienced like that was when I over-oiled the air filter after cleaning it.

I like Tonys air or vacuum leak theory I'd go there first too. May as well check the filter but it sounds like the bike might be a bit lean at the bottom end.
When the bikes warm (hot) the mixture will be fractionally leaner and that would make the tick over wander.
