Tankslappers

Post by Mungry »

Hey guy's,

I'm new to this, and to the firestorm, having only had it for 3-4 months but loving every minute of it. Mine took a knock at some point, and as such has been streetfightered. It's no the most obvious bike for this, but I love it and it looks/works brilliantly.

Only problem is there are now no clocks (little digital Enduro Unit on the bars from TrailTech), there is no fairing and the twin headlights are useless for wind deflection, and I'm experiencing hideous tank slappers over 100 mph.

I'd like to fit the lights and shark-fin fairing from a speed triple to push the wind over my shoulders and gain some downforce to stop the front wheel lifting, and I'd like to mount them to the frame mount on the headstock, to limit the impact on the steering.

Anyone know if this will a) be easy, b) work at all, or c) if there is a better, more cost effective option.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Why not fit a steering damper?
