All is forgiven Suzuki!

Post by Seeker 77 »

Well almost all is forgiven, still much to do on the TL to get it ready for sale.

Picked it up last weekend and rode it back to the Fatherland. I couldn't work it out to begin with, it feels like it has got about another 20 bhp on top of the last one that i had. Then i checked the box of bits that came with the bike and found the original front sprocket! It has been dropped by one tooth ont he front and myh god what a difference. Obviously the speedo reads bolx but who cares!?

Thought that nothing could be as fast as this and then got a real lesson in speed approaching Antwerp. Coming out of a speed camera section, booted it, looked across and saw this bloke next to me on an R1, doing a standup wheelie and out accelerating me on my new pride and joy 8O

Look closely and you will see a 20,000 euro WSB reject! The engine is a blueprinted jobbie, race wiring loom, full titanium exhaust, really, really light (sat on it), and the rider was an absolute nutter Dutchman who races in Dutch Superbikes. He was out doing a test run on the roads! You will see the number plate hangar (homemade), no lights, no mirrors, no indicators, awesome!

Bloomin eck! That will be about 200-210 BHP! Wont be keeping up with that one :eek2 Nice GSXR Mellis. Enjoy lets hope all the Suzuki gremlins are long gone.

He was running Racetecs which might as well be slicks for all the tread they've got!

I thought he meant that washing it counted as modding till I spotted the rear foot pegs/hangers missing.

Lucky i am a trained observer isn't it!? Crash bobbins, exhaust hanger (ok i removed it but it counts a modding in my eyes!), gel coat nose cone protectors, HID conversion (can't see that), removed baffle, new levers, new rearsets, some carbon fibre and so on....

Come to think of it you can't see most of it!!!!

I'd spotted the levers but thought they were in your first pic anyway!

Looks 8) anyway mate. Best GSXR1000 to date imo. My favourite 1000IL4 of the past 10 years.

Saw a new R1 yesterday in Matlock and that looked OK. He had some 2 brothers cans on it and a tail tidy. Sounded very odd on the tick over. Just like a twin :)

She could do with a HID kit. Headlights look a bit weak.
