My new bike has a meta alarm system installed but no documents as to what model it is.
Anyway in which I can find out the model. I have the red security card they give you with the stickers on it, but I need to know what model it is for insurance.
Any help?

got asked the same question by my insurer on the SP. ultimately it made zip all difference to the premium though - meta 357T I think mine is.

just google meta alarm and pick a model number, they aint gonna check on it anyway matey

I wish. b8stard want proof. They said if I can't get cert I've gotta pop to the local dealer and they can just do me a letter confirming model and saying it's in working order. They seem to want endless bloody docs off me lol

Never understand Insurance companies and Alarms...
Waste of time imo. They feck your battery and play up at the best of times. I prefer to spend the money on a decent set of locks or a VERY good chain/anchor system. If they want to nick it they will

Yeah, they are crap. Stops my idiot mates climbing on it though.
I was thinking about a ground anchor, but tbh the car blocks the bike in the garage anyway. The storm and the sp2 and precision parked right at the back and the car in front means there is 2 inches between bumper and door ha. I wonder if they'll give me extra discount for that.
It's been coated with smartwater instant too. Bloody insurance company want proof of that too. How am I supposed to get that ha.

Usually they need a certificate from a registered mechanic/workshop/dealer showing correct instillation and proof of purchase for the alarm/imob.

Smartwater want 24 quid a year membership so unless it makes a bug difference I won't bother. Apparently it is now thatcham approved.
