Got back from a bit of a run on Sunday to find that the rear downpipe was leaking really bad from where it join's the collector. Just took the downpipe off now to find the clamp has completely corroded away but is it suppose to have a gasket in there? If so mine has gone lol. Just had a look on Dave Silvers and they list a gasket. Can't believe £14.50 for the clamp and you got to buy the bolt seperate Plus £7 for the gasket.
Yer it has one of them graphite gaskets in it
the clamp is a 50mm dia thing when mine went I just got a stainless steel one from the locale bike shop I think about £3 was as good as the Honda one
did see some one on ebay selling the gaskets but i think the price was about the same as dave silvers
its big----- its red ------its throbbing and it’s a thousand CC
Cool will order a gasket from Dave Silver don't know where mine has gone must of blown out. Found a company doing full stainless mikolar clamps for £6 so will order one of them to.

The guy i bought my latest storm from (Chris, C13TAY on here) had just bought clamps and gaskets for both, cost him £50+ from DS, its a ripoff isnt it?
Sure is a rip off but that is where a forum like this is so good. There is always someone that has had the same problem and sorted it for a lot less than the original quote. Once i have done mine if anyone wants the info on where i got the bits i will be happy to let them know.
Watch that the compressible copper header pipe gasket isn't still in there - it can get sooted up and merge into the port head and will prising need replacing with a new one. Don't buy from ebay, as I did and despite being advertised as for the storm was the wrong size. Go to DV and get a couple or three
As for clamps - I recommend Mikalor Stainless Steel Marine exhaust clamps - bought half a dozen and replaced all the Honda OEM ones.
Plus replace the graphite gasket seal - careful when putting it in as it's quite fragile.
A tiny bit of coppaslip on the inside of the compressible graphite gaskets makes it easier to separate them later- and I find you can then re-use them.
They stay on the inner part of the joint.
Last point is that the annulus fitted to the pipe to stop the graphite gasket slipping out can actually fit inside the outer pipe when you assemble it, stopping the outer pipe clamping down on the graphite gasket.
It's all to do with lining the whole exhaust up when it's installed, if you're a fraction out at the front end it won't go together neatly under the engine.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
