"SP2 warts and all"??

Can't you just have surgery?

Even a Blackbird would feel uncomfortable with anal warts, IMHO.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

And don't confuse Anusol and Autosolve.

Well after a sleepless night I have decided to do the deal. I can recover most of the loss through selling the tail tidy and seat unit on fleabay so, basically its cost me £500 to rent a Blade for three months and put 3000 miles on her.
I know the VTR is overpriced but its sound and you get a lifetime warranty from the selling dealer (which must be worth something) I have used the dealer before when purchasing the Storm and they were brilliant so no worries there.
SP2 ownership for me this afternoon :D (fingers crossed etc)

I got asked a question on a similar slant in Matlock on Sunday.

"Do you not find coming from a TLS to a 984cc Buell a lot slower..."
My answer-yes. The Buell is slower everywhere straight line performance wise.

Do I miss it. No. The Buell is fun and different.

I'm much happier with the bike I have now. I handles much better and it gets more interest than the TL ever did. I'm happier below banning speed on twisties and everyone’s only as fast as the next set of traffic lights :biggrin

I can see your positives and negatives for both the Blade and the SP though. I'd just love to have bike like that sat in the garage (SP). I could sit for hours with a cuppa and a biscuit staring at it 8)

I think if you got it you'd grow to love it. It's an absorbing bike imo.

Whether you could put up with the performance differences...I dunno???

Thanks buddy,
I know I can deal with the performance difference in fact that is one of the good points of the swap. I am finding that to give me the same kicks on the Blade I am having to ride well outside what would be deemed sensible by the law. It does everything so well you just get faster and faster. I am looking forward to bonding with the SP :D :D

I'm sure once you've had it a while you'll love it and be glad you did the deal.
Yep deffo, I wont be able to keep up with you on the SP though :D The Blade made up for me being crap

Well done on the choice fella!

£500 for 3 months blade ownership sounds OK! Here's to a life of HRC goodness...

...ohh, and buying stuff. You'll be needing a set of nice cans and a Power Commander (with custom map)....the best upgrade for any VTR.

K-Tech will transform the rear shock for about £200 (2nd best upgrade).

Job well and truly jobbed!

I can guarantee that IF I go back to a sports bike it will have "Honda" and "SP" on it somewhere...

Then can I join your gang :P

One more summer with the Muell then we'll see...I'm hoping to have a new job (with more ££££) soon. If everything comes to fruition I'll start looking before they become thrashed/rare/or too bloody expensive

Cheers Mike. Appreciate that.

If I can scrape the funds together I may start looking over the winter.

gotta add my congrats on this. love me SP1 but I'd love an SP2 (especially in black) even more. I doubt there's a better bike you could buy for similar money & the kudos is priceless 8)
