Yes it does work helped along with a old toothbrush.

If you find jet holes blocked like it did on mine and cant clear them with wire, get a blow touch and heat the brass jets up until they turn orange then let them cool down.

Was warned off about using wire to unblock jets as it can increase the bore, but i recon if you use something softer than the jet its self, like thin copper strands out of low voltage wire [like speaker cable], it should be OK.

I have also used the blow trch method and it works

Paint stripers a good un to mike if the fuels varnished on the carb’s just make sure to take all the plastic bits off paint on the striper and leave them in a sealed bag overnight

Give the jets / parts etc a good blast of air through a compressor and everything else after its been soaked and washed also before, it does help get some stuborn bits out.

Needle jets might be worn anyway, some carbs are worse than others for this, so why not just buy replacements? They're only a few pounds each.

Next job is to find out why the starter doesn't spin over. When I press the starter button, the petrol and oil warning lights come on .
Sounds like a short some were or possible power back feeding though the earth
Bridge the solenoid and see if it turns over on the starter
