They do look nice. Modern, yet still classic! I have the originals on my SP2, but they've got droop.... They don't seem to be very firnly attached to the under fairing... strange, but I guess that the way they have to be.

Good on you sir....
No bike (yet).

Dean O I couldnt agree more but do I go for stainless, Carbon or titanium cans? I would love to try all three but thats not going to happen. I have decided on std height though.

Thank you for your kind words. I fitted wedge shaped plastic spacers under my RRW blade indicators to level them out and it worked a treat. Took about 15 mins. I basically shaved a bit of thick black plastic until it was a good profile than stuck it under the indicator stalk. It had an aftermarket undertray that was never going to hold the babies up straight.

Mike I was looking closely at an SP1 and the indicators are different. You would have to buy a full set of indicators to do the mod.
Heres one set http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-VTR1000-VTR ... tsupported dont know how to reduce it to clicky
I am very happy with the results it looks better in the flesh than the pictures.

I tend to agree with you Jim, they would suit the bike but as Mike as said they are weak as far as impact damage so they can become suceptable to splitting.

FirestormMike wrote:I'm not so sure about carbon cans Jim... I had a pair of Scorpions on my firestorm and the weave blew apart just after 12 months in. If a storm can do that, then I dare say the SP would do the same.
I'm keeping mine standard and when funds allow, I'm going to buy a second set of cans and get the bloke who built my firestorm pipe to do a proper bafflectomy.
I may be wrong here or just being stupid but there is a steel tube under the carbon weave isnt there?? so I cant see how they blew without them being defective or damaged??
If they were only 12 months old did you get free replacements under warranty??

Jim.

Mike,
I thought Scorpion cans had a life time warranty with them, so long as you were the original owner :?:

Well that's what I thought I had with mine when I purchased them. Perhaps they've changed it now. I bought mine when there were only race cans available :D

I too, like Jim thought there was a stainless steel skin under the carbon, obviously not :!:

Getting back to the original post, they look pretty good to me Jim 8)

IMHO I think carbon cans would be too much with so much of the bike being in dark colours. Stainless steel would be my preference,

Chris.

Yes but which ones? The trioval ones would look good sort of go with the shape of the headlights and theres also other triangles in the bikes styling, fairing cutout. carbon tipped one looks good as well.

I have to wait ten days for them to be made and posted though. Got em for £350. The kids shoes will have to wait  8O
