Dean O I couldnt agree more but do I go for stainless, Carbon or titanium cans? I would love to try all three but thats not going to happen. I have decided on std height though.Dean O wrote:looks effin awesome!![]()
cans & nowt more tho - don't succumb to temptation & guild the lilly
Thank you for your kind words. I fitted wedge shaped plastic spacers under my RRW blade indicators to level them out and it worked a treat. Took about 15 mins. I basically shaved a bit of thick black plastic until it was a good profile than stuck it under the indicator stalk. It had an aftermarket undertray that was never going to hold the babies up straight.gilson wrote:They do look nice. Modern, yet still classic! I have the originals on my SP2, but they've got droop.... They don't seem to be very firnly attached to the under fairing... strange, but I guess that the way they have to be.
Good on you sir....
I tend to agree with you Jim, they would suit the bike but as Mike as said they are weak as far as impact damage so they can become suceptable to splitting.Jim67 wrote:Beamish if it were me I would be going for the carbon cans. reckon they would really finish it off mate!!! awesome bike you got there btw.
Jim
I may be wrong here or just being stupid but there is a steel tube under the carbon weave isnt there?? so I cant see how they blew without them being defective or damaged??FirestormMike wrote:I'm not so sure about carbon cans Jim... I had a pair of Scorpions on my firestorm and the weave blew apart just after 12 months in. If a storm can do that, then I dare say the SP would do the same.
I'm keeping mine standard and when funds allow, I'm going to buy a second set of cans and get the bloke who built my firestorm pipe to do a proper bafflectomy.
