the only problem i found was the low rev power delivery was a little lumpy below 2000 rpm, 03 on had injection , pretty smooth otherwise, cornered real well, had too edges of tyres within a couple of miles, tallness disappeared when moving and feet flat on floor I have 31" inner leg. Ride over bumps was smooth and controlled, abs was available on later ones, centre stand optional. very little buffeting at speed. O yeah the one I rode was a 07, abs, 3 piece luggage.

I think the Varadero has a detuned engine- don'y know what they've done, cams perhaps.
You probably won't notice.

But you could always drop a full fat Storm one in, for a laugh?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Interesting reading on Horizons (FI Strom etc :whatever ) I dont see 35 mpg being a good tourer though! I could get that on the Blade! Not in any rush but I will prob try to ride one when and where poss.
