my firestorm cluncks into first gear, which ive experienced in other bikes, however ive noticed that sometimes it cluncks moving into 2nd also....bike seems to ride ok, just wondered if this was normal.

Mines a bit clunky going into first second's not too bad. Always worth checking your chain's not dragging on the ground if the gear change gets a bit too funky.

If the cush drive rubbers are worn, or a badly adjusted chain (as Goody says) that will make the change from 1st gear to second gear seem worse. Also you need to make use of all that torque, another-words change up into 2nd gear A.S.A.P, don't rev it anymore than absolutely necessary in 1st before changing up. That way you'll fine it much better. I find (if possible) if you pull in the clutch lever and hold it for approx 5 seconds then engage 1st gear you won't get any clunk
