Ok, on the way back from Devon the bike started making the 'bag of bolts' noises associated with CCT failure. But it only happens when I pull away in first. Never on throttle off like the usual cct timing.
Exhaust doesn't seem loose and if I pull away gently it won't make the noise but with any proper load it sounds like the engines' coming out the bottom of the bike... Until second gear then alls fine.
Help??!!
Ps. If needs be, what's a good price to pay for eithr a top end rebuild or a full engine rebuild? Thought I'd look at worse case scenarios...
Another cct thread, but I'm curious

If it only makes the noise pulling away and never when stationary then it's probably not the CCT. It's probably something that moves when your driving look at clutch, chain sprockets, brake discs etc.
