Baffles in!

Post by Beamish »

I have put the baffles back in the Blue Flames, they sound very sweet both in and out but the noise is a little less ferocious with them in. I am very suprised at this as i like a loud bike but the volume is just about perfect with the baffles in. I need to PC and dyno it in this configuration though as I fear its running a bit lean below 3500rpm and this has exasperated the low speed fuelling issue. Really loving the SP though and have already stripped one rear tyre 8O It lasted fewer miles than on the Blade even though it pushes out less torque and less power up top. Must be the V-twin pulses that wreck the rubber ? Might give the Pirellis a go next swap. Take care.

I kept the baffles in with my Laser pipes. The bike just sounded better and felt as if it pulled a bit cleaner.
I've no baffles to swap in or out with my present pipes so I don't have to worry about it  Oh and it's a doddle just downloading a map and then popping out for a spin to see if it's made a difference or not. Beats the hell out of stripping carbs and replacing jets/needles all the time :biggrin
