help, how do i change standard cct's into manual

Post by donk »

hey all,

As the title says really. I guess im panicking a bit after reading so many horror stories about them just letting go. I have no noises coming from mine, how do you hear a noise at 80mph and get to the key to switch it off before it goes bang?

So i thought i would convert a set of standards to manual, but how???

If you did that then they'd definately go pop as one of the main causes is rapid deceleration, which is why racing engines have manual ones. If you heard something like that its clutch in brakes on :) :(
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Cct problems with the firestorm ? Really :?  ...........just kiddin  ...it's probably the most searched word on this forum :!:

I fitted the stoppers to mine ,if you decide to modify your cct's by this method ,take your time and follow the instructions on this forum to the letter.......ffs..even i managed it

Actually i done them twice ,as just a few weeks after modifying mine ,it developed a rattle and i then fitted a new unmodified Honda set ,then..... i sold the bike......but certainly not cos of the cct issue with them :!:

There was a chap who joined the forum a few months ago,who ,iirc had done around 100,000 miles on his 'storm ,and had just had his first cct problem with the bike in all those miles, mostly all done by himself 8O :!:

It's just yer luck.......prevention better that repair...if i bought another 'storm i'd probably do the same modification again :)
