Which cct"s from david silver

Hi i was on david silvers site but not sure what model my storm is as tax book says 1st reg is 2001 and mot's say 98!
I'm looking to get a pair of cct's or should i just get one for the front?
Or is there someone selling better one's?
could someone plz send me a reply asap.
And as i work as a graphic designer ill do someone a nice signature for the site if they help me out cheers

Hi mate,

Depends what you want to do,you have a few choices.

You could fit "Ape" manual cct's ,or modify your own Honda items by fitting stoppers inside them,so ,if the cct spring did breal,it can't damage your engine ,....or some folk have drilled and tapped a new thread inside their Honda cct body,and screwed a coach-bolt down inside,thus converting Honda auto cct to a manual cct.

Loads of info and pics if you do a search on the forum ,you've just got to make up yer mind which route to go down

I would always replace them as a pair I just had a look on Silvers and think they have the same part no. for all years, if you replace with originals then remember to take of the metal cap from the old ones and put it on the new ones. If I was going that route then I would let them bed in for a few miles then put the stoppers in. At least that way you know the camchain is being tensioned as Honda intended but still have a failsafe just in case.
