Riding on Thunder, Do you have baffels in or out?
well as some of you know i baught these cans off ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT
fitted them on Wednesday and took the baffels out (these look to be after market baffes)
my god is it loud!! it sounds like gods plumbing!
had an issue today with the old plod, pulled into a petrol station and this police mans just finished filling up his Vulva... Sorry Volvo and he hear's me come roaring into the petrol station does a double take walks behind my bike goes to his car gets some kind of document, by now there is a que behind his car at the pump's he diverts to paying for the fuel.....
fook this im not hanging around.... fired it up with out getting any fuel and ripped it away praying that it didnt run out before the next petrol station!
at and below 3,000 RPM it sounds like some kind of straight through harley and ive stared riding like this in the built up areas as i think its a little less offensive, and if i spot old bill just pull in that clutch and free wheel it as they past
have many of you had trouble with the race pipes on your strom? i think race pipes on my twin sound a lot nicer and less office thanmy mates race can on His R6 that thing screems!
will i get points for the race cans if stopped?

Re: Riding on Thunder, Do you have baffels in or out?
Never bothered with baffles in any of my bikes. I've always found it's how often you ride and more importantly how you ride that either creates attention or not
The storm was loud-I had HL Carbon Can Co pipes on. It's no where near as loud as the Buell though
Thank you Zorstec

Re: Riding on Thunder, Do you have baffels in or out?
I'm running race cans (no baffles) on my Storm but, I do have respect for built-up area and keep the rev's down.
The worst thing I find with no baffles fitted is horses on the road, they can become frightened. If possible in a country lane I switch off and wait for them to pass, that might sound a bit over the top but, it's better than a ton or more of horse and rider on top of you and your bike.
Chris.

I have baffleless Blue Flames on mine. Anyone following claims to not be able to hear their own bike. I tell em to get a decent exhaust too then... I might look into sorting out some baffles at some point. Anyone know if Blue flame sell em seperately, or got a picture of one so I can make some?

I've got Scorpions with baffles in on mine. sound about right to me.

i slow a bit and give em a wide birth but thats it! shouldnt be on the roads anyway when theres fields and they leave shite all over the lanes round ere!sirch345 wrote:I'm running race cans (no baffles) on my Storm but, I do have respect for built-up area and keep the rev's down.

Re: Riding on Thunder, Do you have baffels in or out?
I have a set of BlueFlame Evo Duel Ports fitted to my FireStorm.
I never have the baffles in as they are stamped with a BSAU mark and therefore to your average plod will be legal even though the baffles are meant to be installed.
Also my mates say the same when i am riding with them that they can only hear my bike when i am infront of them..... lets say i am not popular in the lead.

It depends on the copper I think as I was right behind a police car in Canvey the other week and they didn't take any notice of me and mine is pretty loud.seb421 wrote:well as some of you know i baught these cans off ebay
