Please give me good news

Post by junkyard »

Hi i came home from work on my Storm parked it in the garage when i heard a hissing coming from the rear tyre...Which i purchased about 2 weeks ago so its done no miles "Cadwell park and back on Sunday and then to work and back today" so ive located which looks like a piece of metal sticking out the centre of the rear tyre "hence the hissing"
Now heres the Question can this tyre be repaired or is it Fooked??? :confused : :

Its the oldest answer in the book really, i 'suppose.

Yes, technically it CAN be repaired. As long as it's in the tread pattern and not the walls of the tyre it should be ok. But then thats the rule for cars more than bikes. The tyre isn't under the same "weight" from a ton+ car but then it has the stresses and strains of all the leaning etc.
I think many of the guys on here will tell you that when it's punctured - it's time to replace it.

If you are a "Sunday rider" then you'll probably get away with it. If you're a hooligan/commuter/track God then perhaps it's safer to replace?
