Re: is it possible to repair...........
you can buy the sleeves for the cans, just take yours apart and resleeve it.
link pipe? mayb a good grind and polish will smarten it up a bit.

cheers guys..
should help recoup some of the wonga getting my baby back on the road..
how much is re sleeving gonna cost though.
cause these cans seem to sell for around £130- 150 second hand..in good condition.
if i could get half that for them as they are and it is gonna cost £40+ to fix there is not much point me fixing them...

Humm thought my ears were burning
You can repair it “the outer shinny coating is usually a urethane†but it’s tricky to get it looking anywhere near decent.
And they never look quite right
Your looking at about £35 ish for a new tube

Microns are fairly easy to do as the two ends are like caps so it’s just a matter of cutting the tube to length

might take firestormikes approach though.. seen the same can'ish single going for around £70 on ebay.. might just flog the good en, and the link pipes seperate unless some one wants to take the lot off me as they are.
not really in a financial position to be spending money to make money...
i need to any money at present...
so off down the docks with a bottle of baby oil me thinks.

Re: is it possible to repair...........
Dave-SP2 sorted mine out by taking it off and turning the scratch the the inside, re-packing it in the process... that was Ti, so maybe you can glue it with some black headgasket sealer and turn it around. You could also cover it in some stickers?
Sweet as to be honest and a lot cheaper than getting a new one. Mind you, Dave is Handy Manny of East England.
