Winter starting

A wee bit of advice needed please, I have noticed that the storm is becoming a little more reluctant to start as the weather is getting colder. I am planning on changing the plugs etc soon as I was reading the other thread on plugs. My question is what is the best way to start her in the cold?

Do I pull out the choke all the way first and then turn her over (she aint been liking this)

Do I turn her over with choke in and once she fires a little bit then pull out the choke.

Any advice please.

Hi Jazz.
Welcome to the storm, I think most riders suffer with this problem. Mine,s doing the same right now. They just dont like the cold to much.
Best advice I can give is make sure the battery is kept charged up, cover it over as mauch as poss during the night.
As for starting, dont even think about the choke, you got no chance with that.
Mine will only start by hitting the button and only a fraction of twist on the throttle, keep the button pressed until she fires up. Then use more throttle , but dont pull the choke out.
Actually I,ve never really used the choke on mine yet, I always let her warn up before riding.
I,m in the process of changing my plugs this week now it,s getting colder.

I do the opposite to Pariah as I have flooded her twice using the throttle.

What works for me is no choke and a couple of turns and then pull choke out half way and try again, usually works straight off then. If need be then go more choke but usually not necessary. And don't touch the throttle at all.

For me on the storm its choke full out no throttle and it starts straight away
My viffers full choke half throttle then off with the throttle as soon as it fires
The problem is every bike is different you have to find what’s right for yours

Full choke and slight open throttle for mine, as Warby says, every bike is different.
