Cheers JB for the heads-up.
Isn't that amazing Mike put his post up 8mins before mine :!:

Obviously great minds think alike :biggrin

I must admit I was quite surprised when I read about Buell and MV Agusta getting the chop. Even with HD taking these big actions IMHO I still think HD are in for a tough time, looking at the economic situation we're in. Perhaps in the future Buell and/or MV may be bought by another company.

I think Buell-as in Erik (thanks Tim, dunno why I wrote Eric in the last thread-get lynched for that on Buell owners forum ) and company stopped making bikes in 2001 Chris. HD got their paws on almost the entire company in 2003 and quickly sold it down the river...

TBF, like I've already mentioned, they've not really kept up to speed with the changing market over the last few years. The 1125/CR promised so much but in reality flopped-clutch leaks, brake issues, build faults-iffy looks 8O When you have the likes of KTM, Triumph and Aprillia banging out bikes of a similar ilk but a better proposition-Buell got left behind...

I think the whole ethos of the company was lost when HD bought a majority stake and I can’t see any bikes rolling out of the Buell factory again 8O At best Erik Buell will be involved in HD development now  not making off the wall, great handling, fun bikes as he wanted to before-sad day for Buell enthusiasts Chris :(

MV's latest bikes got good reviews in MCN......... but that doesnt count for much........ I hope the brand lives on.

Tell you what, though it might have been interesting to have seen Erik Buell try some of his odd ideas on MV's.

F4 with rim brakes and oil/fuel in the frame, now that'd be a special worth riding.

Except for the screaming eagle pipes, which would just ruin the whole effect.

Now where's that idiot's guide to Photoshop?
