Honda 929 954 spondon swing arm - will it fit?

Post by gilson »

Hi all,

I know the 929 does have some interchangable parts for the Firestorm, like brakes and rear wheel, so does this mean that this swing arm will fit the VTR? A nice bit of bling for my track bike!

A long shot but interesting nevertheless......

I've seen a lot about the 929 front fork transplant, but what about the rear end? :D

Oh well.... might be a deal for someone though.... there are some dymags on there too, but they are starting at 350GBP.... I'm sure they could be made to fit with a suitable adaptor kit from Dymag... not sure how much they would be either....

Expensive...

Actually the 929 and 954 both have the swingarm pivoting in the engine cases. I also know that one chap in Italy (pic is/was on the Superhawk forum) fit a 929 swingarm on a VTR although I have no idea what mods were involved.

I was looking at the post in Superhawk forum where a guy has fitted a turbo to his Firestorm. The skills involved were superb. I wouldn't know how to start making things work unless it's a direct fit!

I'm on to something a little more special anyway...
