yeah about 10bhp low. Could be emissions control or somit, or it's fiddler. Uuuummmm dunno, could try another dyno or check the TPS sensor and that the carbs are not restricted. PM us all the frame (full number), engine number, and carbs number and I'll look in me little book and PM ya back.

err, don't think so, I think you can just see through the frame, they are only a combination of 5 (I think) numbers/letter. Check in ya manual it says where they are.

Does seem a trifle low.
Mine was 108bhp at rear wheel on standard cans with Dynojet + K&N, which werent set up right, running a tad rich.

Ok I got my dyno scanned.. http://www.nipse.smorumnet.dk/And/dyno3small.jpg

I have compared it with these once
http://www.vtr1000.co.uk/dynoday/dynodaygraphs.htm

Hmm my dyno is measured on "Roller EC95/1" what ever that is and they are measured on "Wheel DIN" maybe the are the same? 8O

Don,

right here goes.

Have identified your chassis and where the bike was made and where it was destined for, and it ain't Denmark unless my global geography is as bad as me spellin. Carbs, can't find diddle but the ones that go with the chassis are poop.

1) Right then, bike was build for (SW) Switzerland, dooh. Not europe. umm and was assembled in japan, which is good.

2) Carbs have alot (needles, jets, tubes, valves, etc etc) of differences compared to a (E) UK bike, so better to change them totally. (I have a spare set) TPS is the same.

3) Pulse Generator (that bolts to crank shaft for ignition pickup) is different from UK. Yours is 30291-MY5-600 but a uk one is 30291-MBB-000. (could get one of these too)

4) Inlet rubbers, there are a few variations, check em, if in doubt by the uk ones. (Or i can get em)

5) And the biggie, Main CDI unit (the big black box under the small one in the rear of the seat unit) is different too, yours is 30410-MBB-661 and a uk one is 30410-MBB-641. (hu I have one of these too).

Umm, I can't see any other differences but you need to check for immisions poop on the carbs/valve covers, PAIR valve etc.

Bottom line is change Carbs, Pulse Generator, Inlet Rubbers (or checl them for a restrictor), Main CDi Box and check emissions/remove and you should be sorted.

If you want a set of carbs, CDi, etc (I would have to buy new pulse generator, inlet rubbers) then PM us again and we could sort a decent price out to get it sorted.

All the above is assuming you engine is ok and healthy.

Hi, I think my VTR may also be a restricted version. Is there any chance of getting you to check my numbers for me? I would really appreciate it.
The chassis number is SC36-1400151 and the engine number is SC36E-1400154.

Thanks in anticipation,
Jamie

My 2001 french model is restricted for road use at 106 HP at the crank (yep honda says 78Kw).
Is is true ?
Do I have to check some basic parts to see if it is restricted or do i have to check it at the Dyno first ?

Some people talks about carbs, CDI unit, insulators, etc ...
Some others says French model was not restricted for 1997 model but restricted for latest models ...
