Had a maxiss fitted to front of my ZXR250. So far its performed well - only winter riding so far.
I'd like to fit one to the rear, but they don't do the size. Looks like I'll have to shell out for a Bridgestone (BT092 I think).

What kind is it you use Tim,. the sports or touring?

Does anyone know what sort of mileage you get out of the sports and the touring?

I've used Maxxis on mountain bikes before and they were great tyres, not tried them on the motorbike yet.

It's the sports, but the pictures in Jim's link show it as the touring (unless they jumbled the pics?). But i do know it is the M6029s i use, thats the Supermaxx Sport, so i am going with Sports

elbow. Was tempeted to try them but they dont do the rear in zrx size.

herd a lot of good things about these tyres mite try a set in the summer

Mine is a standard 170 rear, the 1200 has a 180 rear. Nobody recommends putting a 180 on an 11 as there just isn't the space and also the rear wheel is narrower than the 12 as well.

If you say so, but 2 sites i looked at give same sizes for 1200 and 1100, same as storm and CB.

Buy one and try it, its only £67 if it doesnt fit and i know how u likethrowing money away, being scotch and all

That's reasonable for a 'sports' tyre. Thing is don't need any yet, do I buy them now and store them or shall I just wait and risk them going up in price?

Whats the best way to store tyres? On there side in the loft seems to ring a bell? Or have I drempt that? Is drempt a word?
