They are cheap tbh.
I don't want to fit one though-even though they do look much better.
I'll be leaving mine standard-only the cans are going on. You don't see many SP's that are completley standard anymore.
I think SP's are at rock bottom prices atm. They'll only start gathering value over the coming years. In that respect the more standard the bike is the better imo.
Good spot though

Suppose it's each to there own Marra-seen loads of lurvley SP's with trick bits on.
The only other thing Mike added before was a double bubble screen and hugger-but they are a sensible mod in my opnion.
Just sorting my Microns atm and then it should sound a bit better

Re: One for the sp owners.
After this weekend, heated grips are sounding like a good plan.
I took the old girl out for her first proper spin, covered a little over 300 miles
coming back north over bodmin moor there was dense fog and the occasional bit of sleet :mad2 now that was cold
I had to unhinge myself from the bike at Exeter and sit over a couple of cups of coffee before I could psych my self up for the last leg home.
Bike ran well though, managed to get nearly 50 mpg on one stretch, don't think I've ever got that much out of it before, mind you, I was riding it like a puff
Damn these salty wet roads

Re: One for the sp owners.
I was very tempted to take the bike out for a blast yesterday Pete-but the roads looked awful. Salty, wet/damp and in pretty bad nick in places. Visibilty was mixed (we went out in the car earlier in the day) and it just didn't look like fun
Its still hard not to want to get out though
I get so fed up with being in the car. Plus the bike is like stress relief to me
I really can't wait for some decent dry weather
Hopefully the pot hole gang might have been out by then and done something with the crater ridden mess that is supposed to be our public highways...I really don't know where our Road/Council Tax payments go any longer
I honestly would'nt be supprised if there aren't a load of serious injuries due to the state of some of the roads-they really are terrible.
I hit one the other night that nearly push the off side suspension into the roof

Re: One for the sp owners.
i hit some bad fog near frodsham and helsby, couldnt see crouton all and it suddenly went freezing cold.
wondered why my pinlock visor was misting up but it was freezing wet fog on the outside.
then almost lost the front end due to fresh grit on the road right on a bend
took me by surprise a bit cos i was just getting used to my tyres and trying to wear off the outside pips
started off a real nice sunny day but soon got too cold for me.
also invested in some oxford grips and better gloves - the ones ive been using are great for summer but a bit thin for winter.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Re: One for the sp owners.
Yep, it's still pretty salty and wet. Roads around our way are exactly the same. That tiny bit of snow has left craters everywhere and if they catch you unawares on the bike it feels like your spine wants to snap when you hit one
I think the council will have their work cut out for them this year, mind you, if they looked after them properly in the first place and didn't just put shite temporary top dressings on we probably wouldn't be in as bad a mess :mad2
Fog, don't you just hate it, I can put up with most conditions on the bike but not being able to see is the worst. Especially when it starts to freeze on both sides of your visor
Brrr! Oh, makes having a pee at the services entertaining too.

I am desparate for a good ride (fnaww fnaww kyuk :wink2 ) but its no fun at all when you are sh*tting bricks coming into every bend! Thing is just as the weather should be changing I am bu**ering off for 3 months :mad2 Not flipping fair

The roads are horrible and the weather compounds issues.
It's so hard not to want to get out for a blast though!?!
