Flooded it once and was a b tch to start again ,started having a few starting issues did the conection to the starter , new larger battery and yam R/R has sorted it .

i take it R/R is another way of saying Alternator. or am i wrong.?

Ah no R/R stands for Regulator/ rectifier If you have the original non finned type then I would recomend that you change it to either a yamaha R1 or R6 one or get the later finned honda one . there is a guide to the yam one in the workshop section .

It looks like a black match box with a conector at one end and a earth wire atached to one of the mounting bolts , the later one has cooling fins on it .
you need a multi meter to test the output

Well mine kicks out around 14.3 to 14.5v and it is very easy to replace

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY got her started!!! now i can go out. !!!
im certain its fuel u know she pops and bangs like crazy on start up
or starter motor is a little slow.

Glad you got it going but I would give it a good going over better that than end up miles from anywhere with a kaput motorad

yeah i know i went on her tonight an she was flawless but then she would be she was warm.
