Just bought another VTR!!

Post by Anotherbikerbabe »

I sold my Jet Ski today after only 4 days on a classified ad on ebay. Lad came up form Bradford for it and he was happy, I was happy cos I spotted this baby y'day and bought it tonight! Going to pick her up Monday. Needs a few little bits and bobs fitted and will look ace. It is 2002 with 14319 onthe clock!!!! A STEAL......all for £1400.......So I'll be sure to sort that pesky CCT prob asap...

Hiya

No, sorry, not breaking anything hopefully!!!! I have a few mods on my bike and so I'm trawling the net looking for bits for this bike.I know it is far from perfect, but at the price, I had to buy it for him. I thought it needed mushrooms, bit it doesn't. Eeeh, I was so pleased it all came together today!!

Sounds like a steal alright ,but it must be a pre2002 model. Bigger tank models had the Honda wing on the tank and a different clock/cluster. Still a bargin and i hope you enjoy it.

Yes, it is a 2002 frame but the previous owner bar 1 put it down the road and all things cosmetic had to be replaced and the tank too.. The clocks were synced so sit at the correct reading etc and I have seen the MOT cert from last May and the service history, it all tallies fine.. The bike was put back together again lovingly by the guy who sold it to me. He made it a project and simply sold it on. I know it's history and its all good. In the end, the guy who put it down the road couldn't handle it, totally fubarred it, the guy I bought it off did it all back up again and put her back together and the end result is now mine so I reckon even with the history/bits and bobs to just put on her, I still got a bargain....End of the day, OH is happy wit hit and so am I, means he will leave mine alone!!!

First a Yellow and Black one and now a Black and Yellow one, Don't worry about it being the older model, two litres of fuel is nowt to a firestorm and the early one had a bit more power

And may I be the first to congratulate you on having a lovely pair

Pete.l... I'll get me coat

Hope you've got a good fleece liner sown in too, I'll bet they'll be more than a little nippy at this time of year. I used to love going up the old coast rd (A1068 ? ) north of Newcastle, up to Alnwick and then blast off up over the moors. Excellent roads for two wheels  Especially if you get on them before they fill up with the holiday makers and their caravans
Have fun.
