your not the only one Ken,

I always manage to do then when i'm least expecting it and generally have to stop and have a fag after before riding to the dry cleaners.

Yup. Feel really sorry for those people who don't smoke. What do they do when they've screwed up big time? Also feel sorry for those people without an account at the dry cleaners!
I ride way too fast to worry about cholesterol.

Not me, second is no problem,I already have 15 in the front sprocket. but i think ill have to change to 43 maybe even 45 in the rear sprocket to pull up and hold 3rd gear. I can bounce it up now if i compress the front suspension and drop the clutch. But the control is lacking in 3rd.

I'm with ktd on this. On Sunday I was accelerating hard (ok, chasing an R1) in third when I crested a rise and the front just popped up 8O . Seemed like ages (but probably wasn't) before it came down again. Seeing how I was the wrong (right?) side of the ton, for a second I visualised aerodynamic forces taking over and flipping it. Probably over-reacting, but I wasn't half tense for the rest of the ride.

Previous Sunday a deer popped out of the hedge right in front of me. I swear it was the size of a cow! At this rate I might get back into hang gliding - this biking's getting too risky!

i ever do the same in third without trying. last sunday i manage to get up the front wheel (from arround the high of a wheel) in 4th. on a litlle hill, gave a gas quick boost without pulling the bares and then be surprise to manage, especially when it was a hill slightly flat. try again and didnt manage.
i'm sure it can stand up in 3rd with methode (gas + weight distribution on the seat + suspension compress and bonds).

I did it on last saturday!!!!!!!! 8) :D :D
I managed to lift up in 3rd and to keep it standing arround 400m. If only i had more mastered the balance.

I tried again but didn't stand up enough to approch the balance. Now i know it s possible.

How is the VTR for long wheelies? Some bikes have oil pick ups at the front of the sump or something so when on the back wheel the engine is starved of oil... what's the VTR like for this? I have absolutely no idea!
