My Honda Factory Moriwaki ST3
My Honda Factory Moriwaki ST3
Hi All,
Whilst searching for some Moriwaki cans, a long way down the GooooooooooGLE pages I saw a signature of a chap that had both an ST2 and the Honda Factory ST3, yes greedy!
This is the very bike that Roger's team raced and the only one known outside of Japan, (it's only sibling being in the Moriwaki Museum in Japan). When the former owner emailed Moriwaki to ask them a question, their reply was, "Impossible, we have the only Factory ST3", but they soon conceded after Roger's intervention.
It's history, both service and provenance is massive and I'm putting it all together in a website. I've a selection of bike magazines and hoping to get some race history for it too... I know Mark Ditchfield use to race it, as did Gus Scott. I know it's claimed some respectable podiums, but details are sketchy as yet.
Instead of posting lots of pictures to imageshack, I have put several here
http://www.yellowcamel.moonfruit.com. Much more to follow as and when.
I know some are as crazy about the VTR as me, so please let me know your thoughts. I hope you like it....

Tantalising Firestorm groggery - Unfortunately the URL you posed is a dead un'
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Thanks Wicky, it's moonfruit, not moonsite...fixed...
Moonfruit is excellent to make a website, it costs nothing too (if you have less than 15 pages)! Amazing really...

Strangely enough, this bike has been mentioned before on here. I was searching for something the other week and found a post by our dearly departed Marty

Re: My Honda Factory Moriwaki ST3
It's true it was owned by him, then he sold it, bought it back then sold it to the former owner, then to me. All part of the history I'll eventually put together I hope.cupasoop wrote:Strangely enough, this bike has been mentioned before on here. Haven't taken it anywhere yet. It'll get a proper outing in the summer... I'll be very nervous though... 156rwBHP and 165KGs.
Hoping to put that camera to good use Timbo...
PS, I'm not a copper either, if that what you were implying:-)

Re: My Honda Factory Moriwaki ST3
When are you taking it's clothes off and giving us a peek underneath?
Also, is that some sort of ram air system...the black bit that runs along both sides and disappears under the tank?

I just need to get my track bike sorted, then I'll undress it. I'm not that friendly with her yet, still courting.cupasoop wrote:When are you taking it's clothes off and giving us a peek underneath?
