My last bike was a blackbird and I once followed a vtr at quite low speed, the vtr stomped away really suprised me the low to middle speed grunt..........so I bought one. never looked back when it comes to fun ........no contest.
it may be clever, but its not big.

Well, in December last year I managed a 237 km/h on my Sigma BC800. At indicated 190km/h the Sigma shows about 176-178km/h. With that in mind the indicated would have been about 250km/h (156mph).

well well well, i think it proves size matters and small is often best. I reached 170mph with a k3 gixer 1000 with limiters removed sat next to me. i went on my first ride and wondered what she could do (my R6= 160). The midrange grunt took my mate by surprise and by the time he could pass me i was at 170mph and i rolled off when he topped 180mph.
but hes 16st and 5,6" ish compared to my 5.2" 8st, im sure my storm dont know im there.

Just about managed an indicated 170 at the nurburgring on the Dottinger Hohe straight.

I did over shoot the pits and get a bollocking from the marshals though. :?

It was on me first storm, bog standard apart from 15t front sprocket. With the speedo inaccuracy and lower gearing I reckon it was just about 150 genuine.

Teehee, its SOOO easily done. You're flat out going for it and half way down some over efficient German has stuck some cones!!

Did you carry on or turn back mate?

I came to a halt about 50 yards past the cones I think, then turned back and bimbled sheepishly into the pits.

I was in a little top-speed world of me own y'see. You'd have thought that when the Hayabusa and the 911 GT3 started disappearing in me mirrors I'd have took notice....but no.  :biggrin
