Storm in North Wales

Post by Whoa Nelly »

Hi folks, first post time. Acquired my VTR last summer and have been adding its basso profundo to the valleys of Snowdonia ever since. Its not perfect for round here (skinny rat + standard spring + bumpy roads = you do the maths) but it makes me larf.
My user name? Its what I find myself muttering into my helmet on a regular basis.
Oh, its a blue '99, pretty standard so far, with some nice Moriwakis - I'll try & put up a pic or two

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

But... how did you know about the jodpurs & whip?? (checks to see if I posted the right pics)

Cheers folks - don't believe all the hype about N Wales police though. The much-publicised draconian measures aren't that common - if you use a bit of judgement and don't take the p*ss you'll be unlikely to get stopped these days. I have it on good authority that our new Chief Constable runs a ZX-10, but he's playing that one down if its true. Anyways, choose the right road at the right time and there's plenty opportunity to let the V-twin sing its song!

Hello Nelly.

Sister in law stays over the lake from Llanberis. Always been down in the car but the roads around there look like they would be fun on 2 wheels.
Rich.

Ta for the welcomes, folks! What a friendly place!
Hi Rich, yup we've got some great roads hereabouts, ranging from sweepy fast tarmac ribbons to nadgery wee back lanes. The Storm can be a bit of a handful on the latter but then the pipes hit that resonant frequency and all is forgiven. My last bike was this
Image
which was a hoot for local blasts but didn't have the legs for longer trips. Also no thriving owners website, probably because there was only 3 of us..
