Hi
JUst wondered if anyone has used Overstock Parts in the U.S to order A.P.E manuals if so how long did it take to get them.

someone posted a link to them a week or so ago, think they said £82 delivered for the pair.
have a look in the workshop thread - someone is still waiting on theirs, dunno if its from same supplier.

tbh you only save a few bob over buying them from uk so if it's urgent you'd have to weigh up if you can afford the saving...

i need a pair as well - another thing on my list lol.
it'd be cheaper to buy a fkin new ducati at this rate!

ive got one off an r6 - might have a look if it will fit the storm but i know it's a different ape part number.
was thinking about just removing the oem ones and threading a bolt down the middle for now.

ME....
Ordered 19th March.
Nothing returned apart from Paypal saying they had paid them.
Nothing from Overstock Parts in the U.S
Emailed the guy twice
So I opened up a complaint with paypal yesterday.

Someone said on here that paypal took a long time to pay the companies??
Thought I'd get at least an email back from Overstock Parts.

Did you get any emails back from them?

Hi Matt,

Spoke to Gary who runs
He blamed APE for failing to deliver stock to him and other US dealers.
Said he was sorry for not getting back but did not want to email a delivery date and then have to change it again.
I said he should respond as bad news is still news.
His order for 50 sets had been shipped from APE to him today and he hoped to see them tomorrow.
He suggested that APE's delivery dates were very iffy at best and they like him were taken by surprise by the qty of CCT's ordered.
He only sold 10 sets a months but is was well past 30 going on 40 per month for the last few months..

Anyway not sure if I am happy at this, will give him until Friday to reply or i'm off to paypal to claim.

Call him on 001 727 804 3217 and see what you think.

Maybe it's me but been had by one guy on this forum for £30 with no comeback and no goods so i'm a bit suspicious at the mo.

was that through overstock parts???
i got some from jc motors and they were cheaper too - their dynojet kits are half what they are here, but if you try them, ring and enquire about shipping cos their standard charge to the uk is like £39 dollars an item through the website.
they used to deal on ebay but got so big they just have a big store now and website.

good luck with your order bud - paypal claims are a waste of time i can tell you that much.
if you'd ordered via your credit card you would've had their insurance.

i'm sure they will come through - maybe it's as he says and demand has outstripped demand.
pity truckinduke isnt making them any more...
stick around, there may be some custom ones coming through the forum shortly - search 'billet cct'
i have one here off an r6 but the hole centres are wrong for the storm, otherwise it's the same.

Easy enough to make a set from the old Honda bodies and some coach bolts. There was a posting I wrote on it sometime back, but here's a pic of the front one in situ.

Cost? About three quid each + some time (not long!)

agree, theres no reason you cant just run some high tensile screwed rod through the ally body, or long bolts like this.

ok they dont look as good as ape but all it's doing is pushing a guide against the chain - see camchain fiche drawing ....

nice pic btw mr lotus, shows how easy it can be fixed.
